Spartan Sat
An exciting new project and the sequel to TechEdSat-8, Spartan Sat seeks to return a cubesat bearing a camera to space flying the Spartan banner.

The satellite project is targeting deployment from the International Space Station to Low Earth Orbit, where it will capture footage of the Moon to be returned to Earth. The satellite is intended to demonstrate VR navigation capabilities.
Recent Highlights
Since beginning in July 2025, the group has acquired its computer and camera hardware and aims to demonstrate integration of the camera system into computer control in coming weeks.

SpartanSat maintains open recruitment of interested students to teams with openings. Currently, students interested in Systems Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Software Engineering are particularly encouraged to apply.
